Keystone Pins

The Keystone interlocking pin system maximizes design options, improves the installation process, and increases the structural integrity of retaining walls. The interlocking pins are also efficient, allow for a near vertical or setback installation, and improve interaction with geosynthetic textiles. Keystone pins are also virtually weatherproof, helping the wall to withstand weather challenges.

What is the difference between Keystone Compac and Keystone Standard?

The Compac retaining wall units can be used on properly designed and constructed walls that are up to 60 feet high. This unit weighs around 78 pounds. The Standard retaining wall units have greater stability, especially in high walls it can be used in any type of properly designed wall. This unit weighs around 106 pounds.

How can I request a quote for a Keystone Compac or Standard product?

Although we can provide a rough estimate of the costs for Keystone block materials based on the wall dimensions, the quote and final sale of the product requires the person to have a blueprint designed by a licensed engineer. We create your quote when we receive the blueprint for the project designed by the licensed engineer.

Does Ecológica Carmelo also sell the reinforcing mesh for the project?

The reinforcing mesh for the retaining walls is sold and provided by the local Puerto Rican company JM Caribbean by Jose R. Muñoz. For additional information or a quote regarding mesh products please email jmunoz@jmcaribbean.com

The reinforcing mesh is an essential part of the retaining wall system and its main objective is to stabilize the system against lateral earth loads and seismic activity.

What colors are available for the wall products?

The wall products are only produced in the standard colors of sand and cement to ease production and inventory. If the architect requests a specific color, a 50% deposit and written approval of the tonality of the block are required prior to manufacturing.

Are these segmental retaining walls designed for landslide control?

Segmental retaining walls have all kinds of uses, including land containment, landslide control, and for architectural usage. It should always be designed by a licensed engineer. For additional questions regarding the purpose of products please contact info@carmelo.com
